During the anniversary year, numerous exhibitions explore how artists, scientists, architects and countless others shaped fin-de-siècle Vienna forever.

The capital’s major exhibition spaces are mounting a series of comprehensive shows devoted to the protagonists of Viennese Modernism in 2018. Egon Schiele’s creative output takes centre stage at the Leopold Museum and the Orangery at the Belvedere.

At the Imperial Furniture Collection the focus will be on Viennese Modernist furniture design by Otto Wagner, Josef Hoffmann and Adolf Loos.

Meanwhile, the Jewish Museum Vienna and the Ernst Fuchs Museum will be looking at the phenomenon of the Viennese salon. Additional highlights related to Viennese Modernism can be found at the Arnold Schönberg Center, the House of Music, the Literature Museum and the Wittgenstein House.
