5.1 % TRAFFIC IN APRIL

 

In April, passenger traffic is up by 5.1 % over 2015, with

 

683,612 recorded passengers and a comparable increase for the national (5.0 %) and the international (+ 5.3 %).

 

Regular traffic recorded a 5.2% increase, while the charter was stable (+ 0.2%).

 

The low-cost section represents 32.9 % of passenger traffic, an increase of 12.8 % compared to April 2015.

 

PASSENGERS

 

National traffic

 

National traffic: 395,347 passengers. The regular traffic was up 4.8%. The exchanges towards the capital rose by 3.6%, with similar trends Paris -CDG (+ 3.2 %) and Paris -Orly (+ 3.7%). By region, the increase in traffic is more marked (+ 8%), with strong growth in almost all lines, especially to Rennes (21.4 % ), Nice ( 16.9 %) , Nantes ( + 8.5%) and Lille ( + 5%). Corsican destinations, meanwhile, also recorded significant progress.

 

International traffic

 

International traffic: 285,393 passengers. Scheduled traffic grew by 5.7%. This trend is due to growth in traffic on the Schengen area (+ 7.8%) with good results observed in most destinations, like Amsterdam (+ 15.5 %), Geneva (+ 12.6 %), Madrid (+11.6 %) and Munich (+ 8 %).

 

Traffic on Portugal (+ 13.6 %) was boosted by the success of Porto line (38.2 %), as Italy (+ 29.6 %, which benefited from strong increases in Venice (58.9 %) and Rome (33.7 %).

 

Excluding Schengen, scheduled traffic also recorded an increase (+ 3.9 %) thanks to the good results of the London airports: + 4.4% on London Heathrow and 1.3 % on London -Gatwick.

 

On North Africa, the trend is also to growth (+ 2.3%), with good results on Algeria (+ 5.4%) and Morocco (+ 5.3%). The international non-scheduled traffic, meanwhile, is down (-4.3%) with 12,157 passengers.

 

FRET and POST

 

Cargo traffic and Post Office are again rising (+ 14.9 %), with 6,253 tones processed

 

COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT MOVEMENTS

 

The number of movements increased (+ 6.5%) with 7174 movements made.
